Wastewater Treatment Plant and "Çamlık" National Park Tour
A technical and cultural field trip to Yozgat was organized on May 12, 2026, by the Green Energy Community and Electronic Technology Program students of Boğazlıyan Vocational School. Students from various departments also participated in the event, gaining both professional field experience and the opportunity to learn about important landmarks in Yozgat.
The first stop on the trip was a visit to the 2 MW capacity Solar Power Plant completed by Yozgat Bozok University. During the technical inspection, students were given information about the working principles of solar energy systems, energy production processes, and the technical infrastructure of the plant. Following this, a technical visit was organized to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Students had the opportunity to observe the use of technology at every stage of the transformation. We extend our thanks to the Construction Works Technical Department.
As part of the event, students also visited the University's General Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kocakaya, in his office. During a friendly conversation with our professor, who is the former Director of Boğazlıyan Vocational School and currently serves as General Secretary, the students thanked him for his support and presented him with flowers. The visit took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, accompanied by refreshments.
Another stop on the itinerary was the Career and Alumni Center. First, the group visited the Mehmet Akif Ersoy exhibition, presented by Lecturer Kamil Büyüker, in the Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu History and Culture Research Center hall. The presentations by the Director of the Career and Alumni Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Şener Taplak, and the Deputy Director, Lecturer Ayşe Aslantürk, provided valuable interaction for both first and second-year students, helping them shape their future careers.
In the final part of the itinerary, the students visited Yozgat Çamlığı National Park, one of Yozgat's symbols and Turkey's first national park. Enjoying the lake view, the students had a pleasant time and had the opportunity to learn about Yozgat's natural and cultural values. The gathering of students from different departments of the college added a special touch to the event.
Combining technical education, social interaction, and cultural experience, the trip concluded as a productive and unforgettable event for the students.
